Join Mastering ECSP: Key Investment Information Sheet and Consumer Protection Webinar #3 – 2 March 2022

by Joan Segura on 23.02.2022

Our next Mastering ECSP webinar is taking place on 2 March 2022, at 17.00 CET, and during this session we will take a closer look at the key investment information sheet and other provisions that address consumer protection.

Key investment information sheet (shortly KIIS) effectively sets the standard of disclosure for crowdfunding campaigns across the EU. While some national crowdfunding rules already established rather extensive disclosure, many platforms face such extensive information requirements for the first time. What information should KIIS contain, what language should it be in and which other consumer protection tools ECSP contains, those will be the main topic addressed at the 3rd instalment of the Mastering ECSP webinar series.

Joining us as speakers are Charlotte Hill, Partner, and Katie Fry-Paul, Associate, from Taylor Wessing.

Charlotte is head of Taylor Wessing's UK Financial Services Regulatory group. She advises on EU Directives and Regulations that affect financial services institutions and UK financial services regulations. She combines extensive experience as a financial regulatory partner at top-tier law firms with in-house experience at both a national financial regulator and as General Counsel for a major UK asset management firm. Charlotte's clients range from large multinational conglomerates to specialist boutiques. She has specialist experience in advising on the rules and regulations affecting crowdfunding, including the European Crowdfunding Services Provider Regulation, both in relation to platform providers and those using them for fund raising. She also advises both FinTech businesses and other financial services firms on payment services regulation and e-money, regulatory capital requirements and MiFID II.

Katie is an associate in the Financial Services Regulatory group at Taylor Wessing UK. She advises both FinTechs and "traditional" financial services firms on a broad range of EU and domestic financial services regulations. She has particular experience in advising clients on the financial services regulatory issues relating to crowdfunding, whether in relation to the operation of platforms or use of platforms by regulated firms to raise funds. She has recently been advising a number of firms on the implementation of the European Crowdfunding Services Provider Regulation. She also advises on the regulatory implications of dealing with cryptoassets, and her clients include crowdfunding platforms, banks, investment firms, and crypto exchanges

The webinar will be moderated by Ivona Skultetyova, our senior research and project manager and Oliver Gajda, EUROCROWD’s executive director.
