by EUROCROWD on 15.09.2022

On 23 September 2022 EUROCROWD will take part in "La Gran Kedada Rural", an exciting event focused on rural innovation carried out in Alava, Spain. During these three days, attendants will have the opportunity to enjoy inspiration, training, project sharing, music, culture, leisure, innovation and traditions. Everyone is called to join the event, whether they live in towns or villages: the aim is to share the adventure of rural life.

EUROCROWD is particianting in this event providing a workshop on rural crowdfunding. In this session we will shed light on the mechanisms of crowdfunding in the context of rural projects. The workshop will be addressed to all types of entities and people interested in learning about alternative financing mechanisms as well as the transversality of crowdfunding in combination with the European Leader Funds and other traditional fundraising tools in rural areas. We will lay the foundations of what crowdfunding is, unpacking the mechanisms linked to crowdfunding, the existing uses and typologies that serve to finance projects in rural areas, and a specific focus on initiatives that work on social innovation and sustainability. At the same time, we will establish different criteria for accessing crowdfunding platforms and their differences.

La Gran Kedada Rural will be developed in three days:

On 23 September, the event proposes to find answers for a prosperous and sustainable rural development from a constructive and innovative point of view. Inspiring talks, round tables, presentations of successful experiences, professional meetings, and networking, will take place.

On 24 September, it puts the focus on culture with a powerful programme where music, theatre, literature, knowledge and innovation come together with concerts, eco-workshops, inspirational talks, guided tours, monologues, and competitions, among others.

On 25th September, there is free entrance and all activities are free of charge, including fair with shops/stalls selling local products, rural sports, inspirational talks, and musical performances. During the last day of the event, there will be a tribute to roots and customs transforming the concept of traditional fairs.
