What we do

Eurocrowd supports the design and implementation of innovation funding systems, entrepreneurship support environments, and ecosystem initiatives across Europe. We work at the intersection of policy, programmes, and implementation — focusing on how funding systems function once they are put into operation. Our work is implementation-oriented, combining experience from European programmes, ecosystem development, and innovation finance systems.

Implementation focus

We do not operate as a traditional advisory firm or general consultancy. Our work is focused on system-level implementation questions, such as:

  • How does a funding system function in practice?
  • Where do design assumptions break during implementation?
  • How do different actors (policy, institutions, users, intermediaries) interact in real environments?
  • What is required to make programmes and ecosystems operationally effective?

We support the implementation of funding systems and programme structures in practice.

What we support

Eurocrowd works across four main areas of activity:

1. Funding system design and implementation

We support the design, structuring, and operationalisation of funding systems and innovation finance mechanisms. This includes:

  • analysis of system functionality and implementation logic
  • support for programme and funding scheme design
  • identification of operational gaps and risks
  • alignment between policy intent and execution structures

2. European programmes and projects

We contribute to the implementation of European-funded programmes and initiatives across multiple policy areas. This includes:

  • Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects
  • Erasmus+ and capacity building programmes
  • European pilot and pilot-scale initiatives
  • consortium-based implementation and support work

We typically support implementation, coordination, ecosystem engagement, and dissemination activities.

3. Ecosystem development and stakeholder engagement

We support ecosystem-level initiatives that bring together institutions, market actors, and policy stakeholders. This includes:

  • ecosystem mapping and analysis
  • stakeholder engagement processes
  • workshops and structured dialogues
  • conference and convening activities (including CrowdCon)
  • knowledge exchange formats

Our focus is on improving alignment between actors in innovation finance systems.

4. Capacity building and knowledge support

We contribute to structured learning and knowledge development activities for public and private stakeholders. This includes:

  • training and capacity building programmes
  • applied knowledge transfer
  • practitioner-oriented materials and publications
  • support for understanding innovation finance systems in practice
