About us

Since 2013 EUROCROWD has recognized the pivotal role that European policy plays in shaping the crowdfunding landscape. Our efforts have resulted in deep legal and regulatory impact on EU law and have changed access to finance for early-stage as well as small- and medium-sized business for good. Our work has been designed to provide the strategic guidance and regulatory insights they need to navigate the evolving regulatory environment effectively.

Background

EUROCROWD, Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, is a group of companies providing dedicated services to a wide range of stakeholders in the alternative finance and investment markets as well as managing Europe’s leading business network for professional crowdfunding platforms and stakeholders. Initially conceived in late 2011 – following The Bielsko Biała Declaration on Realising the full potential of crowdfunding initiatives by EURADA – we were officially launched in 2013 as an international association under Belgian law. We started with the intention of representing the burgeoning European crowdfunding sector, but challenges soon turned into opportunities, leading the organization to expand well beyond its initial vision.

Since our incorporation, EUROCROWD has worked closely with the leading crowdfunding platforms in Europe to establish a professional market, yet we remain independent. This allows us to remain a trustworthy partner to public administrations, development agencies and policy-makers both at the EU and national levels – and ensures that market actors cannot apply undue influence. It also gives us the freedom to act in the best interest of the overall crowdfunding market, including citizens and project owners, a quality needed when providing bespoke services to our clients.

What we do

At EUROCROWD, we empower the growth of crowdfunding and alternative finance by providing market research, capacity builidng, technical assistance, and EU Grant Management. We also run educational programs tailored to entrepreneurs, startups, small and medium-sized businesses, investors, and authorities. Through our work, we aim to foster dialogue, raise awareness, and shape public discourse on the pivotal role of crowdfunding in driving economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We work closely with stakeholders, market actors, policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and other partners to promote a supportive business environment for capital formation through crowdfunding. By analysing the evolving market landscape, we assess the impact of regulatory and industry changes on crowdfunding platforms, European businesses, and the broader ecosystem—helping identify opportunities and tackle challenges for adaptation and innovation.
