One of the highlights of EUROCROWD’s involvement at the EU-Startups Summit 2025 was our presence on the exhibition floor. Our dedicated large booth not only stood out from far away, it offered a space for vibrant, real-time engagement with founders, ecosystem players, and investors interested in understanding how crowdfunding and alternative finance can unlock new growth opportunities.
From the moment the exhibition hall opened, our booth attracted steady traffic from curious participants. We provided tailored insights into the current state of European crowdfunding, explaining the significance of the new harmonised EU framework under ECSPR and the opportunities it presents for startups. We also arranged for a large number of face-to-face meetings with founders to advise and help secure funding and partnerships.
Our team was inspired by the quality of conversations we had throughout the summit. Whether it was a young founder exploring their first funding round or an investor seeking new channels for capital deployment. This general interest underlines the increasing relevance of alternative finance in the wider innovation ecosystem.
Reflecting on the experience, one of our staffers noted: “Personally, what truly stood out to me at the summit was the incredible environment. I found myself discovering a continuous flow of innovative startups and dedicated founders. The way people connected with each other felt genuine, with one thing in common, the passion for what they do.”
EUROCROWD also used this opportunity to introduce our Startup Incubation and Funding Acceleration programs. These initiatives are designed to help early-stage companies navigate funding complexities with confidence and prepare for successful crowdfunding campaigns. We will begin working with our first batch of pre-seed and seed stage teams this summer.
The EUROCROWD booth wasn’t just a touchpoint for information, but a bridge to a growing community committed to transforming startup finance in Europe. This was supported by the large number of officials, both from national and European organisations that reached out, as well as the deep exchanges we had with venture and ecosystem builders. We return from Malta energized and reaffirmed in our mission to make crowdfunding an integral part of the European startup landscape.
