EUIPO, the European Union Intellectual Property Office, is hosting the first annual event of EUROCROWD’s Spanish Strategic Group (SSG) on 18 May 2023 in Alicante, Spain. The event will welcome members and stakeholders of the national multistakeholder group to promote the emergence of a professional crowdfunding sector in Spain. Next to panel discussions, networking opportunities will help connect a wide range of actors, from crowdfunding platforms to public authorities, accelerators, and education providers.

The event, which will be held in Spanish, offers four key sessions: the use of crowdfunding in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, the evolution of the crowdfunding market and future scenarios, interaction with public authorities and match-funding, and impacts and expectations from the full implementation of ECSPR. EUROCROWD and EUIPO have been cooperating since 2020 through the Ideas Powered for business network, whose aim is to provide access to services and opportunities that meet the need of European SMEs to access centralised, clear, reliable, and relevant information to support their business journey and promote the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in gaining a competitive advantage.
