Daniel Farchy is an Equity Investment Officer in the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) Equity, New Products and Special Transactions Department, where he focusses on Infrastructure Funds and Climate Action. At EIB, Daniel has developed an investment platform to foster the development of the green bond market both in the EU and in emerging markets. Prior to 2017 Daniel was at IFC, based in Latin America, where he led IFC’s investment work with financial institutions on climate finance for the region. Previously, Daniel also worked in environmental asset management companies in New York and Washington DC, and as an energy economist at the World Bank, as well as the Finance Director for a Kenya-based household energy solutions company. In addition, he is an Executive Director in the Renewable Energy Performance Programme (REPP). Daniel holds a Master’s degrees in Natural Sciences from the University of Oxford and in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University – SAIS.
