ECN is participating in the event “Crowdinvesting for social housing – Investing generating impact on the territory”, organised by its member ART-ER on December 9, in Bologna. The conference will bring together social entrepreneurs, politicians, professionals related to the construction sector, speakers from academia, as well as local and regional economic stakeholders. During the event crowdfunding will be discussed as an alternative and complementary financial mechanism to support socially-driven projects, mostly in the energy and real estate sector. Francesca Passeri, ECN’s Head of Advocacy, will moderate the panel on “The scenarios of crowdfunding’s adoption from the perspective of the sector’s professionals”, showing how equity and lending crowdfunding can dilute risks while maximising profits and social impact.
The conference will be the conclusive event of the ‘CrowdHO’ project, aiming to study the potential of crowdfunding as a support for energy efficiency and retrofit of social housing buildings, managed together with AESS, Politecnico di Milano and Climate Media Factory, and co-financed by Climate-KIC. In this context, ECN has coordinated and provided stakeholders and sector’s professionals with workshops and trainings on the chances to apply equity and lending CF for social housing. It has also developed and presented a visibility study on the possible practical scenarios to come, in the aftermath of the positive outcome of the H2020 project “Lemon”.
Event location: Bologna, Camplus living Bononia – Via Sante Vincenzi, 49
