Startup Extreme Norway, Voss, Norway 24-25 June 2019

Startup Extreme was created by Startup Norway in 2015 with a mission to showcase the Norwegian startup scene internationally and professionalize the Norwegian startup ecosystem to international investors and the press. The goal is to push Norway towards becoming an internationally influential startup ecosystem.

Powered by the ESIL project, ECN will hold a workshop targeted to (potential) investors ranging from a crowdfunding starter’s guide up to professional investment portfolios and co-investing. This includes how crowdfunding fits into early-stage investing, a discussion on the entry points for angels, as well as investment strategy hints and checklists for spreading investments across different sectors and stages.

Further, ECN will moderate a panel with three influential platforms in Norway. While Around (Privanet) is an equity based platform focusing on scale up projects, the lending platform Monner recently entered a cooperation with one of Norwegians large banks to fully cover the early stage financing cycle, both are working nationally. The third platform on the panel will be Funderbeam, which is established in several countries and focusses on early stage equity financing. Investors on Funderbeam can trade their shares at any time.

The extreme startup festival has partnered up with Ekstremsportveko which is the world’s largest extreme sports festival. During a 2-day adventure in the Fjords of Norway, the best of the Norwegian startup scene, international investors and press met for inspirational talks, workshops, and networking.

ESIL powered Workshop: Become a professional crowdfunding investor, June 25: 13:00- 13:50

Over the last several years crowdfunding has become an increasingly popular option for both entrepreneurs and investors. Crowdfunding has established itself to be a successful alternative in acquiring or investing money. And it will most likely continue to rapidly grow! Crowdfunding adds an emotional component to an investment, validates concepts, reduces innovation risk and is a great marketing tool.

ESIL Panel: Four Is A Crowd, June 25, 15:20- 15:50

  • Jarle Holm, CEO, Monner, Jarle Holm
  • Camilla Andersson, Founder, Around Norge
  • Rünno Allikivi, Head of Scandinavia, Funderbeam
