Christin Friedrich is CEO of the digital financing and investment platform Innovestment (innovestment.de). Innovestment is regarded as a pioneer of crowdfunding: Since its launch in 2011, the platform has brought together emerging technology start-up companies with private investors in the DACH region and provided over 8 million euros for 40 companies. Christin and her Innovestment team are currently taking on the challenge of transforming the platform by offering a wide range of projects, with simple processes, transparency and understandable language to enable even non-professionals to easily build up their own multi-asset portfolio online.
Christin is also chairwoman of the non-profit European Crowdfunding Network (ECN), based in Brussels. Together with other European platform operators, she advocate greater transparency, common standards and a fundamental understanding of the role of crowdfunding as an alternative form of financing with positive impact for the European economy and society. Together with other stakeholder she explores the potential and impact of the Blockchain technology on the finance and crowdfunding industry in the ECN working group on “Exploring Blockchain for Alternative Finance”.
She is also a member of the Technology and Innovation Committee of the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce. There, she contributes to the development of a digitization strategy for the city of Berlin and participates with great pleasure in the further development of administrative modernization.
Christin studied management at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. She then worked for management consultancies in Berlin and Hamburg and co-founded a tourism start-up in Iceland. She was also a board member of InvestHorizon, a program of the European Commission to promote “Access to Finance” for small and medium-sized enterprises. Christin is a certified financial investment broker (IHK).
