SPEAKERS:

Dr. Conny Weber is Senior Research Analyst at the European Crowdfunding Network (Belgium) and teaching about Financing Innovation at the Danube University Krems (Austria). Her work and research topics are mainly related to innovative business models and alternative financing instruments, enhancing access to finance for entrepreneurs and SMEs. By authoring and co-authoring studies, he provides policy recommendations in the field of crowdfunding to public authorities, such as the Austrian Ministry of Economy or the European Commission by authoring and contributing to different studies.

She holds a degree in information science from Saarland University (Germany). And a PhD in business studies from Karl-Franzens University Graz (Austria).

Jörg Diehl started investing in equity-based crowdfunding in early 2012 and over time became one of the most active crowd investors with more than 60 projects in all kinds of sectors and company stages (start-ups, SMEs, environmental projects, etc.). Being an active member in associations such as the German Crowdfunding Network, Deutscher Crowdsourcing Verband e.V., Bundesverband Crowdfunding e.V.(Member of the Executive Board), Startup-Spot Rhein-Main, he has built a broad network across the entire start-up ecosystem in Germany, expanding into the EU.

Numerous presentations at industry events, panel discussions, press interviews, etc. make him one of the best-known crowd investors in Germany.

In 2014 he was one of the founding members of aescuvest GmbH, the first equity crowdfunding platform in Europe specializing on healthcare companies. He is using his valuable experience as a serial investor in his role as Head of Innovation Scouting and Dealflow Management.

Jörg studied Business Administration in Germany and the United States and received his Master of Business Administration degree from St. Cloud State University, MN, USA.
