Investment in renewable energies is key to drive our society away from the worst consequences of climate change and to prepare a more sustainable future for the next generations. However, access to finance is often a strong barrier to the development of clean energy projects. Crowdfunding, making the fundraising process more open and democratic, may help bridging the current investment gap, providing energy and monetary benefits to investors.
On the 30th of October 2014, Solarplaza will host in London the first Renewable Energy Crowdfunding Conference. The speakers include several international experts from the crowdfunding and renewable energies scenes: from crowdfunding platforms to policy makers, the event has a promising agenda.
ECN will participate to the event with the chairman, Oliver Gajda, featuring among the speakers.
